THE RHYTHM OF POETRY

photo (6)

Poetry is a rhythm on guitar strings,
it moves like dancing clouds on wings.
It’s a float, a mass in space on an end,
a patchwork of expressions of a particular trend.

Poetry is movements, sound and melody to the ear,
An A, B or C. Minor in a simply, crowded sphere.
You hear the line, and with ease catch the phrase,
and wonders at the way it sends you amaze.

It’s easy to dance to this tango beat,
so simple to capture this contagious streak.
As it plays your tune, your own lullaby,
and filled you with sweet surrender on high.
You like its every pitch,
it’s bridge and depth and melody rich.

Poetry is a flavor,
a confectionery savor,
but most of all if it doesn’t rhyme,
you can count it still will chime.
Poetry is music, poetry is art,
it’s an inborn talent, and that’s the best start.
